OUR TEAM
We are a small team of degree-qualified, AHPRA-registered Acupuncturists & Chinese Medicine Practitioners, dedicated to offering excellence of care.
We both treat a wide range of complaints, yet our core focuses are women’s health/hormone health, mental health & digestion—these are the areas where we spend our time learning, growing, and refining our care.
We are deeply committed to sharing the profound gifts of this medicine with you, our community, to help you to flourish in good health, vitality and ease.
Kathryn Puffett | Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner BHSc (Acu)
Kathryn’s Clinical Focus:
Hormonal health: periods, pregnancy, postpartum & perimenopause
Emotional well-being
Gut health & digestion
General well-being, stress relief & pain
Kathryn is an empathic and compassionate practitioner, dedicated to guiding her patients toward a life of greater vitality, resilience and ease.
At the heart of her work is a desire to help people feel more at home in their bodies and more connected to the world around them. She shares clinical knowledge in ways that are clear, grounded, and empowering, offering practical support while honouring both the depth of Chinese medicine and the agency of each individual she works with.
A lifelong curiosity about the body, the natural world, and the human experience has shaped Kathryn’s path into this work. These explorations have cultivated a deep reverence for the interconnectedness of all things, and a recognition that personal healing is inseparable from the well-being of our wider communities and the planet.
For Kathryn, Chinese medicine — with its roots in Daoist philosophy and shamanic traditions — offers a relational way of seeing and understanding the world, complementing the rigorous clinical learning she continues to pursue both within and beyond the clinic.
Outside of practice, you’ll often find Kathryn reading philosophy and poetry, or reflecting on the rhythms and movements of the natural world. Meaning-making sits at the heart of what she considers a good life, and this orientation naturally weaves into the way she works with patients. Each year, there is a period when Kathryn steps away from the clinic to immerse herself in silent meditation, in continued pursuit of a life grounded in compassion, presence, and alignment.
Kathryn is currently undertaking further tertiary studies to become a Chinese Herbal Medicine Practitioner.
Lou MacGraw | Acupuncturist & Chinese Medicine Practitioner MAppSc (Acu), BHSc (Nat)
Lou’s Clinical Focus:
Hormonal health: periods, pregnancy, postpartum & perimenopause
Preconception care & female (& AFAB) fertility
Childrens health
General well-being, stress relief & pain
Lou brings an holistic and heart-centred approach to her care. She is gifted in holding a warm, supportive space where people feel heard, cared for, and empowered on their path to wellbeing & good health.
Her journey into complementary healthcare began more than 15 years ago, with a degree in Naturopathy. Years later, while navigating her own fertility challenges, she turned to acupuncture for support. This experience sparked a deep curiosity and connection with Chinese medicine, leading her to complete postgraduate studies in Acupuncture.
Lou also trained in Toyohari, a Japanese style of acupuncture inspired by Classical Chinese medicine. This gentle, non-insertive style of acupuncture is especially helpful for children and complements the calm, restorative environment she creates in her treatments.
Lou’s unique mastery of Chinese Medicine has been supported by some of the best mentors in acupuncture, fertility and integrative natural health care.
In practice, Lou weaves together acupuncture, moxibustion, herbal medicine, and nutrition to support the whole person. She supports people through stress and anxiety, sleep issues, digestive complaints, hormonal imbalances, menstrual concerns, preconception care and fertility, and children’s health.
Outside of the clinic, Lou enjoys the grounding rhythms of daily life - good food, time in nature, and the company of her family and much-loved pets.
